Working Hours, Attendance & Leave Management

Building a balanced work culture through discipline, flexibility, and mutual trust.

1.Standard Working Hours & Punctuality

At YOI Media, we value discipline and time management as essential aspects of professionalism.

  • Working Days: Monday to Saturday

  • Office Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break)

  • Employees are expected to log in on time and adhere to assigned schedules.

  • Late arrivals beyond approved grace periods will be recorded and addressed by HR.

  • Occasionally, extended working hours may be required to meet project or client deadlines.

  • Overtime compensation applies only if pre-approved by management.

2. Attendance Rules & Remote Work Policy

  • Attendance is tracked through our digital HR system; employees must mark attendance daily.

  • Any absence must be communicated at least one day in advance unless in emergencies.

  • Remote work or flexible hours are permitted only upon written approval from the reporting manager.

  • Employees are responsible for maintaining productivity and communication standards during remote work.

  • Repeated absenteeism, tardiness, or misuse of flexible work privileges may result in disciplinary action.

3.National & Government Holidays

YOI Media observes both National and Government-declared holidays to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

Mandatory National Holidays:

  • Republic Day – 26th January

  • Independence Day – 15th August

  • Gandhi Jayanti – 2nd October

4.Casual, Sick & Unpaid Leave Policy

Yoi Media promotes a fair and flexible leave structure to support employee wellness and work balance.

5.Work From Home (WFH) Eligibility

YOI Media supports flexible working for eligible employees under specific conditions:

  • WFH is available once every 6 months for one week, subject to performance and approval.

  • Employees must ensure uninterrupted connectivity and task completion.

  • Confidential company or client data must not be shared outside secure platforms.

  • Misuse of WFH privileges will lead to suspension of remote access rights.

6.Leave Application & Approval Process

To maintain workflow efficiency, all leaves must follow the company’s formal approval process:

  1. Submission: Apply for leave via HRMS or email at least 30 days prior (except emergencies).

  2. Manager Approval: Reporting manager will review workload and approve or suggest alternate dates.

  3. HR Confirmation: HR team will record the leave in the system and communicate approval status.

  4. Emergency Leave: Should be notified as soon as possible via phone/email.

  5. Unnotified Absence: Absence without notice for more than 2 consecutive days will be treated as Leave Without Pay.
